Road Show Trailer nominated for award

Road Show Trailer nominated for innovation award in Sweden

Camfil’s Road Show Trailer – a mobile indoor air quality (IAQ) laboratory and exhibition to promote awareness about the importance of good IAQ and the dangers of air pollution – has been nominated for a prominent Swedish award called “Stora Inneklimatpriset”.

The prize is awarded to Swedish companies or organizations within the indoor climate/IAQ field, energy technology and HVAC industry that have developed a valuable product or service that has been commercially successful.

In order to be considered successful, the product or service has to be innovative and contribute to a better indoor environment in a long-term and energy-efficient way. The official nominee for Camfil is the Group’s Swedish subsidiary, Camfil Svenska AB, and the recognized service is Camfil’s travelling Road Show Trailer with IAQ lab and exhibition.

The jury consists of representatives from several key Swedish trade organizations (see footnote). Chairperson is Lars Ekberg, Associate Professor in Installation Technology, Chalmers University of Technology.

The “Stora Inneklimatpriset” award for 2012 will be announced and presented by Swedish Member of Parliament Jan Lindholm (MP) at the Nordbygg Ecoforum in Stockholm on March 12, 2013 – a large exhibition and conference on sustainable urban development, energy-efficient buildings and green building techniques.

The nominees for the prize are:

  • The Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association for efforts to help people suffering from allergies.
  •  Camfil Svenska AB – for the Road Show Trailer.
  •  Swegon AB – for the Tellus modular HVAC and energy plant.
  •  Housing Association HSB Riksförbund/HSB Bostad – for the HSB FTX heat exchange system

* The prize was established in 2001 by the web portal Slussen Building Services in cooperation with three professional trade organizations in the Swedish heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industries: EMTF (Energi- and Miljötekniska Föreningen), SwedVent (Svensk Ventilation, Swedish Association of Air Handling Industries) and Svenska Kyltekniska Föreningen (a Swedish association for refrigeration and cooling technology). The purpose of the award is to build interest in issues concerning indoor climate technology.
